This is a didactic Montessori material that develops hand-eye coordination and indirectly allows the toddlers to experience object permanence. It allows them to develop a sense of achievement, as they repeat the activity on their own. Our model includes 6 wooden geometric pieces with their corresponding removable wooden lids. Each piece is meant to provide different levels of difficulty and a dynamic experience for the toddler. Sharp shapes will sometimes stay inside the box and not on the tray, forcing the babies to find out where the shape went and introducing their hand into it. This will allow them to enhance their sense of permanence, as it will create the idea that there is always a different set of outcomes from a performed action within their reasoning. The object permanence box is often found in the Montessori environment for infants. This product is a teaching material. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age unattended. All materials comply with Montessori rules and the CPSIA testing requirements for ASTM F963 / 17.
